30 Days of Skin Care – Day 29

Day 2️⃣9️⃣…Does what you eat have a role in what your skin looks like? Yes and no. Yes certain foods can improve the appearance of skin. No since certain foods affect people in different ways. While eating foods high in sugar may wreak havoc on some people’s skin, other people may not have a reaction simply because genetics also has to do with your skin. But that does not mean you shouldn’t be mindful of what you eat. There are plenty of foods high in antioxidants, phytonutrients, zinc, vitamins, and omega-3 fatty acids and all of these have some affect on your body as a whole, including skin, hair, and nails. Foods that are high in nutrition not only help prevent diseases but also inflammation and aging. Did you know what you eat can also affect stress in your body and mind? Your body is designed to neutralize free radicals but when you consume too much of the wrong foods (processed, high in sugar, fried) our free radicals become too many for our bodies to handle. So eating a healthy diet can help clear out the toxins giving you healthy glowing skin. Does that mean you can never have desserts or french fries? You will never hear me say no to that. 🤣 Just be mindful of what you eat.
