30 Days of Skin Care – Day 9
Day 9️⃣…There simply isn’t enough good things I can say about Matcha Tea. 🍵 From drinking it, to putting it on my face, it’s so darn good for you! Matcha powder has many anti-inflammatory properties that help with skin conditions such as rosacea and acne. It is also a detoxifier with three times the amount of antioxidants than regular green tea. This magical green powder can take hold of free radicals before they can do any damage to your skin. Think natural sun protecter and anti-aging all in one. I drink matcha every morning to start my day. But let me tell you not all matcha is created equal. If you’re getting it from a coffee house I would be wary. Most aren’t pure and diluted with too much water/milk and have added sugar to make it taste better. My favorite matcha is from Matcha Love. It comes in a tiny container from Japan and all you need is a teaspoon whisked in with 2-3 oz of hot water. I prefer to use 1 oz of water plus 2 oz of coconut milk whisked with the matcha. You need very little to get the full impact. When I’m not drinking it, I’m making a face mask out of it with honey. If you make one healthy change this year, incorporating matcha tea would be my recommendation. Enjoy!
